The Seventh Grade Team welcomes your child to the 2007-2008 school year. We encourage all students to come prepared for class. To take advantage of 7th grade and to ensure success, the following suggestions are offered.

Come prepared with:

bullet A notebook for each subject or a section in a loose-leaf binder for each subject or as instructed by your teacher.
bullet A folder with pockets for math, Science, Social Studies and Language Arts.
bullet Necessary supplies including: 12" standard and metric ruler, blue and black pens only, pencils, colored pencils, highlighters, markers and a glue stick.
bullet Calculator that is capable of performing square root functions and has a +/- integer button. Textbook, homework, assignments and assignment book.
bullet Due to the fact that the school no longer provides tissues, we request that each student bring in 2 boxes to their 6th period teacher.

Be courteous and respectful by: being silent during instruction, using low voices during group work, raising your hand and waiting to be recognized before speaking, listening to others.

Be cooperative by: listening and following directions, moving in and out of groups efficiently and quietly and by helping your group be successful.

Be honest by: doing your best, asking questions when you don't understand, doing your best work and taking responsibility for your work and actions.

The 7th grade team policy is that all daily assignments may be turned in one day late with a penalty of 10 points. All long term assignments are due when specified and will not be accepted late.

The student's assignment notebook will be used as open communication between teachers, students and parents. IT IS THE STUDENT'S RESPONSIBILITY TO PRESENT THE NOTEBOOK TO THEIR TEACHERS WHEN NECESSARY. The students must have their assignment notebooks with them in each class. We hope this will keep the lines of communication open between school and home.
